Blessed Be Lovelies! I trust that we all had a very magickal Summer! Happy September to you all. As the Fall Equinox (and my birth month) draws nigh (:-)) I'm naturally starting to sense that pull, that desire to stop, fall back and be inside. This morning I woke up thinking about the smell of cinnamon, setting up altars in our new home, autumn colored scarves, boots, long sweaters and of course the nostalgia that a cup of chia offers my soul. Last night, before leaving the Labor Day festivities with friends and family; I proclaimed that I was done with the summer eating and drinking and the rah, rah, rah of it all... My whole being just wants to rest...Today, I plan to embark on some serious reconnecting, regrounding and purification of my mind, body, spirit and soul. I also plan to start prepping my nest for some serious spellworks and some much needed rest.

This is DanceAfrica 2013 at BAM...new and returning customers picking up a few of my Ancient Blends natural hair and body care products. I have had quite a full summer seeing my clients for either hair care appointments or holistic healing sessions; also keeping up with several outdoor vending events, which require a lot of preparation, not to mention the all day outputting of some serious energy. I had to say that even though it was tough from beginning to end...I enjoyed it all!
I also began an Cowrie Shell Center Internship Program with these awesome young ladies...Steph and Iman!
I had a good summer even I thought it rolled by a bit too soon, but, in hindsight and browsing through the photo album on my cell phone...I realized that I've actually done tons of stuff this summer!
I had a few wonderful days with my goddaughter Ke-Nefer. She was such a pleasure to have as my assistant for four steaming hot days at The International African Arts Festival, not to mention that she totally won all of the trophies they offered for the chess tournament! She Rocks!

Emotionally, it was a tough one due to the unexpected loss of a young family member.
