Mabon is the time when many practitioners of Nature celebrate the second part of the harvest. This Sabbat is about the balance between light and dark, with equal amounts of day and night. 

The Science of the Equinox:
Two days a year, the Northern and Southern hemispheres receive the same amount of sunlight. Not only that, each receives the same amount of light as they do dark -- this is because the earth is tilted at a right angle to the sun, and the sun is directly over the equator. In Latin, the word equinox translates to "equal night." The autumn equinox, or Mabon, takes place on or near September 21, and its spring counterpart falls around March 21. If you're in the Northern hemisphere, the days will begin getting shorter after the autumn equinox and the nights will grow longer -- in the Southern hemisphere, the reverse is true.

Global Traditions:
The idea of a harvest festival is nothing new. In fact, people have celebrated it for millennia, all around the world. In ancient Greece, Oschophoria was a festival held in the fall to celebrate the harvesting of grapes for wine. In the 1700's, the Bavarians came up with Oktoberfest, which actually begins in the last week of September, and it was a time of great feasting and merriment, still in existence today. China's Mid-Autumn festival is celebrated on the night of the Harvest Moon, and is a festival of honoring family unity.


Colors of the Season For Your Altar:
The leaves have begun to change, so reflect the colors of autumn in your altar decorations. Use yellows, oranges, reds and browns. Cover your altar with cloths that symbolize the harvest season, or go a step further and put brightly colored fallen leaves upon your work surface. Use candles in deep, rich colors -- reds, golds, or other autumn shades are perfect this time of year.

Symbols of the Harvest:
Mabon is the time of the second harvest, and the dying of the fields. Use corn, sheaves of wheat, squash and root vegetables on your altar. Add some tools of agriculture if you have them - scythes, sickles, and baskets.

A Time of Balance:
Remember, the equinoxes are the two nights of the year when the amount of light and darkness are equal. Decorate your altar to symbolize the aspect of the season. Try a small set of scales, a yin-yang symbol, a white candle paired up with a black one -- all are things which represent the concept of balance.

Blessed rising everyone! My heart is full of appreciation! I'm so very excited this morning, we've successfully arrived at day7 of our detox journey! I'm feeling clear, inspired and motivated. I have noticed many gifts being offered to me during this past week from different sources. I smile and graciously accept, because I recognize that due to my shedding of what is no longer needed in and around me, I'm much more open and available to receive.

I've anointed my body temple with peppermint oil today. The color of the day is orange and white, the deity/Goddess is Sekhmet. Goddess of divine retribution, vengeance, conquest and war. Sekhmet means "The Mighty One," and she was one of the most powerful of the gods and goddesses. She is also a healer, wielding the type of love like that of a mother who has to punish her child in order to teach and correct that child to protect him/her from harm in the future. She was the goddess who meted out divine punishment to the enemies of the gods and of the pharaoh. In this capacity she was called the "Eye of Ra." She also accompanied the pharaoh into battle, launching fiery arrows into battle ahead of him. Sekhmet could also send plagues and disease against her enemies, but was sometimes invoked to avoid plague and cure disease.
Sekhmet's capacity for destruction is well-documented. In one story, Ra sends her to punish those mortals who have forgotten him and she ends up nearly destroying the entire human race. Only the cleverness of Ra stops her rampage before it consumes every living thing.

Welcome blessed autumnal equinox!!!!! Rest, Relax and count your blessings...The way is open!!! ASHE' 

It's a blessed good morning! Congrats to us! It's day 6 of our 7 day autumnal detox! I wish you all a fantastic, last few days of the summer solstice weekend! Yes, how very exciting? We've been releasing and shedding all that is no of us, all which no longer serves our greatest intentions. Two days before the official autumnal season arrives. The season I love most of all has ended. Although, I am happy to see fall; hey it's the season of my solar return (my b'day) and I love, love, love the colorful foliage!!! 
Yesterday I shared with you'll my decision to continue on my detox journey this weekend by intaking only juices...welp, my juice fast/detox lasted exactly ONE DAY! 
Although, I do feel that I received what I needed; courage, clarity and the answer to a tough decision I have to make in the near future. I'm at peace with that process. Up until about 4pm yesterday, I was doing really good with the juices, then I noticed that I wasn't drinking enough to have balance. I was feeling anxious and my mind was preoccupied, I wasn't focused. Rather than stress out about it, and how I wasn't doing what I said I would do... I meditated on what had me so distracted, then I decided to 'phoned a friend' to verbalize and process my thoughts, to hear myself out loud. 
I heard myself speak the answer to my mental ponderings with clarity. That's when I realized what those few hours of 'juice only' was actually for! We have to be intune at each moment to listen inward. Spirit is always speaking to us. I've been told many times, that back in biblical times, 'God spoke with folks,' I always ask;' well, did he stop speaking to us??? Or have we simply stopped listening to her???' 
Well, I'm feeling wonderful this morning, forward ever, backwards never...we continue onward~ the way we started,,,I'm drinking my herbal teas, fresh juices (I'm still having the juices) water and my one meal; okra and other veggie medley in the early evenings. On day 4 a friend gifted me some awesome smelling fresh herbs. The room is full of aromatic goodness right now! Can you make them out? There's basil (2 types) spearmint, oregano, broadleaf thyme, lemongrass, lemon verbena, The loudest scent is the lemon verbena and the basil- heaven right here!!! I'll steep these and sip their revitalizing magical medicine throughout the weekend.

Offerings
The idea of right or appropriate honoring of deity/deities is not about someone telling you what's "right or wrong." My 3 Day LiQUID FAST
As I mentioned above, as of today I'll be doing all liquide throughout this weekend til Monday! We went shopping yesterday for more fruits and veggies to get me through this weekend. I didn't plan this earlier at the onset of this autumn fast. Last night I got an inkling that I needed to go deeper...I'll be replacing solid food with liquid food for a bit and you are welcome to switch it into high gear and join me...or keep doing what feels good for your lifestyle. You do not want to shock your body or throw it into panic or super craving mode. Assess your overall health and see if you are able to handle this sort of thing.
I've already initiated with herbal teas and water. I'll continue on by replacing each meal with a juice based meal and work up from there...feel free to add things to your juice like flax seed, coconut oil, green veggie powders, Moringa, etc to boost your energies. Finally, remember this.  A liquid fast helps to improve your entire quality of life.  The nutrients you will receive from the foods are delivered quicker into your system and will be used right away. Your body might experience a major detox as the acid from the fruit attacks bad cells (free radicals), which will make you more likely to fight off chronic dis-eases

Well…When we eat devitalized foods such as sweets, white flours, bread, meat, cooked fruits,  processed drinks, and pastas and take in things like coffee, drugs and alcohol our body is stimulated by these products and produces mucous to protect our intestinal tract from the resulting toxins. The more often you ingest these substances, the harder it is on your body and the more layers of mucous are produced. This is one reason why some meals should be all fruits or all vegetables. Mixing fruits and vegetables in the same meal are hard to digest and can give you acid reflux.

One problem with multiple layers of mucous is that the pancreatic fluids which normally keep the mucoid layers stripped and digested off the gut can’t keep up. Over time (years usually) these mucous layers build up andharden making the intestines less effective at absorbing what you eat. One sign of this happening is vertical ridges on your little fingernails.

Gradually, the body weakens and our digestive processes become slower. When this happens, food starts to rot in our gut a little bit after each meal creating even more toxins and an imbalanced gut flora (and an overgrowth of yeast). Even the muscular walls of the gut weaken and lose tone creating a pot belly, prolapses, diverticuli, polyps, colitis and smelly gas problems. Eventually these disturbances may lead to cancer.

Small bowel pockets and diverticuli are more common than most health professionals realize, and should be taken into account when any low grade infection or decrease in vitality over time are present. Low back pain, menstrual irregularity, ovarian cysts, constipation, bladder problems, heart palpitations, hemorrhoids, tipped uterus, and prostate problems are often a result of a prolapsed (fallen) transverse colon. Fasting and enemas can help these greatly.

Food was meant to pass through the body within 8-18 hours. The longer it is held, the more putrefactive, toxic and gaseous it becomes. When bowel tone and condition are good, we should have a bowel movement after every meal.

Laxatives never solve the problems of poor eating habits, lack of exercise and bowel neglect. Repeated artificial stimulation of the bowels destroys their natural emptying reflex, so that they will no longer move without artificial stimulants. The laxative habit begins innocently enough with the correct belief that bowels should move every day, however, laxatives will cause the evacuation of several days’ worth of stool in a single movement. Impatient for reestablishing stool regularity, the patient takes another laxative, and the cycle begins.

Toxins are released through the skin, kidneys and liver, but the main route for toxins release is the bowels. This process needs to be assisted from time-to-time or the toxins will be reabsorbed back through the intestinal wall. Also, when doing a water or juice fast, the normal bowel movements do not take place because the gut is resting.

Enemas and Fasting:  Starting a fast with an enema seems to help with hunger pangs and solidifies the beginning of my fast, helping to shut down the digestive system so it can detoxify, repair and rejuvenate.


How to take an enema: (sourced from Google)

Note: Be sure to make sure the valve on the enema apparatus is shut tightly before filling the bag and after you release all the air from the tube. I know this may seem obvious, but boy, does it make a mess if you don’t.

Hang the filled enema bag on the shower, bathroom door handle or on the towel rack about three feet above your pelvis. Place the tip over the toilet, sink or bathtub and allow the liquid to flow until the air bubbles all come out. Hanging it higher increases the pressure of the fluid coming out. You can control the flow with the enema bag shut-off valve, so make sure it is easy to grasp. Put some lubricant on the enema tip and on the anus if necessary.

Now, get into position. There are several ways you can do this. Now, you can only go as fast as the slowest part of you feels safe to go, so experiment with what you feel comfortable with. Here are some good options:

• Bend over at the waist as you sit on the toiler to make your belly parallel to the floor if possible so the fluid will flow in without as much impedance.
• Stand up over the toilet and bend at the waist and let the fluid flow in. This is my favorite position because my abdominal muscles don’t contract as much and the flow going in is easier with greater volume.
• Lay on the floor on your right side or back and let the fluid flow in.
• Kneel on the floor with your bottom up and your head down with your head resting on a towel.

After the liquid is in (as much as you can hold without cramping or feeling uncomfortable) then massage your gut area and try to move the liquid around as you knead your abdomen. This massaging assists in releasing hardened mucus in the intestinal folds. The more you massage the colon, the more will come out. If you feel you have to release the liquid, don’t hold it in. Sit on the toilet and release that liquid, then put more into the rectum and try again until the enema bag is empty. You will know when enough is enough.

Start your massage on the lower left side of the abdomen, then massage up toward your ribcage, across the top of your abdomen then the lower right abdomen. The ileocecal valve is here at the lower right. Spend a little extra time there because this is where the small intestine and large intestine meet and lots of people have spasms of their ileocecal valve and gas in this place.

Now go to the bathroom and release your enema. If you are having trouble fully releasing your bowels, take a few deep breaths and keep massaging, then sitting on the toilet, pull your belly upwards to straighten out the sigmoid colon. This changes the pressure in the abdomen area and makes it easier for the fluid to pass through. 

Also, it is very important that you knees be pulled up towards your chest for a release from deeper into your colon...

This morning I'm having 16 ounces of water with a dash of cayenne pepper (circulation), 2 tbsp of Braggs apple cider vinegar (alkalizing), 8 ounces of lemon, ginger and echinacea juice, along with one red delicious apple (pectin). 

For lunch I'll have the same as above, along with sipping my fenugreek tea. I stay pretty occupied throughout the day and I like to stay present during my detoxing process...meaning that I acknowledge my hunger and any nausea I experience as the present, unbalanced state of affairs inside my system. I honor my disciple and my ability to stay focused and strong through any and all of my challenges.

Dinner will be more OKRAS (love). I look forward to eating steamed okras with broccoli, cauliflowers, purple onions, garlic and scallions EVERYDAY. Yes, I do eat the same, pretty much. That keeps my mind on easy, always knowing what I'm preparing. Also, my digestive system gets used to processing the same food and the same amounts...no internal stress. I plan to shop for more fresh produce this evening as the supply for the past four days is almost all gone. For me, this fast is again, about eliminating EVERYTHING that I KNOW to be unhealthy for ME. And, since I'm not a meat eater, The things/foods that I stopped intaking during this fast are: starches which ultimately break down into sugar... bread, corn chips, NUTS, soy milk, almond milk, potatoes, bananas, plantains, cous-cous, quinoa, rice, honey, store bought juices, etc....

The morning sun rise blesses us as we transition into autumn in this half of the planet. It is an ideal time to sit back and reflect on what may be out of balance in our lives, then take steps to restore our equilibrium. Autumn Preparations Us For Winter 

As summer ends and autumn comes, the days get shorter and shorter. This is how the trees "know" to begin getting ready for winter.

During winter, there is not enough light or water for photosynthesis. The trees will rest, and live off the food they stored during the summer. They begin to shut down their food-making factories. The green chlorophyll disappears from the leaves.

As the bright green fades away, we begin to see yellow and orange colors. Small amounts of these colors have been in the leaves all along. We just can't see them in the summer, because they are covered up by the green chlorophyll.

The bright reds and purples we see in leaves are made mostly in the fall. In some trees, like maples, glucose is trapped in the leaves after photosynthesis stops. Sunlight and the cool nights of autumn cause the leaves turn this glucose into a red color.

The brown color of trees like oaks is made from wastes left in the leaves.

It is the combination of all these things that make the beautiful fall foliage colors we enjoy each year.

Today is day 3 of our autumnal detox. I'm not feeling as energetic as I did yesterday. Be forewarned ya'll, today's blog post will feature more tools for helping you through detox crisis!...It's cool and necessary since this fasting journey is a daily experience. My mind and spirit feel pretty normal. I do trust that you're in the heights; or maybe by today you too are experiencing one or two detox crisis symptoms. In spite of the way I feel physically, I'm truly inspired to get up, get moving and continue writing; sharing some of the daily goodies~ from the first day of my fast, till this morning. Health Benefits of Okra (Lady’s Finger)The mucilaginous content in okra sets it apart
from other vegetables for its extraordinary benefits.

Okra is also known as “lady’s finger” in some parts of Asia. And various other names in other parts of the world. The plant is cultivated in tropical, subtropical and warm temperate regions around the world.

Okra is an edible pea pod and although can be eaten raw, I’ve never acquired the raw taste. You can lightly blanch, steam or give it a quick stir-fry to reduce the “green” taste.

Use when it’s tender, as it gets very fibrous when it’s older. In the okra pods, the white soft seeds (edible) are arranged in 5 to 10 vertical columns, giving it the angled appearance on the outside.
Nutritional BenefitsOkra is very low in calories and dense with nutrients. It is high in fiber, vitamin A, C, and folate content.

It is also a good source of the B vitamins, vitamin K, calcium, potassium, iron, zinc, and traces of magnesium and manganese.

Okra is one of those few vegetables which have the highest content of phytonutrients and antioxidants such as beta-carotene, xanthin and lutein.

Health BenefitsOkra is one of the best medicinal vegetable although it is not everyone’s favorite. You may like to try it if you knew about its immense health benefits:

Anemia:  Helps red blood cells production and prevent anemia.

Anti-Cancer:  The high antioxidants in okra helps protect the immune system against harmful free radicals and prevent mutation of cells.

Asthma:  The high antioxidants and vitamin C content make okra useful for reducing asthmatic attacks.

Bone Strength:  Folate in okra builds strong bones and density, preventing osteoporosis.

Cholesterol:  The soluble fiber helps to lower serum cholesterol, thus also reducing atherosclerosis and the risk of heart diseases.

Constipation:  The rich fiber and mucilaginous (slimy) content in okra pods help increase bulk, bind to toxins and ensure easy bowel movements with its natural laxative properties. Regularly eating okra also reduces the risk of colon cancer.

Diabetes:  It has insulin-like properties that help to reduce blood sugar level.

Gut flora:  The fiber helps improve the population of beneficial bacteria in the gut.

Immune Booster:  The high antioxidants and vitamin C content make okra a good immune booster food that reduce your catching the cough and cold.

Peptic Ulcers: The mucilaginous content provides a temporary coating to the digestive tract and stomach lining while healing the ulcers.

Pregnancy:  The rich folate content in okra can help decrease the incidence of neural tube defects in babies.

Skin Health:  With good bowel movements, skin health will improve. Helps reduce acne, psoriasis and other skin conditions.

Vision Health: Okra contains beta-carotenes (precursor of vitamin A), xanthin and lutein, all antioxidant properties that are helpful for vision health, preventing eye problems like cataract and glaucoma.

Consumption TipsChoose smaller-sized okra over the big ones.  The feel should be crisp and firm to be sure they are tender and not overly fibrous. Avoid those which color does not look fresh and are soft.

As with most vegetables, okra may be subject to insecticide/pesticides. Buy organic if possible. If not, soak okra in water with apple cider vinegar and sea salt for about 10 minutes, then rinse thoroughly.

Cut off the tops and cut okra into smaller pieces of 2-3 inches if desired. Lightly blanch, steam or quickly stir-fry to reduce the mucilage and the “green taste”. It can be added into your salad, or dipped into your home-made chilli sauce, or eat it just on its own.

Okra cannot be juiced due to its very fibrous texture and mucilaginous (slimy) content.

CautionLike most vegetables, okra has a small amount of oxalic acid and does not generally bother. Avoid okra if you have a history of kidney stones.

If you've ever had the pleasure of drinking freshly extracted raw fruit or vegetable juices, you know the health value of doing so. Freshly extracted juices contain live enzymes and nutrients that are easily absorbed by the body for quick nourishment.  But did you know that raw sugarcane juice is just as healthful as any other freshly pressed juice, and is in fact something of a Super Hero among plant foods?

Sugarcane is a tall grass with a stout, jointed and fibrous stalk that looks similar to bamboo.  As a member of the grass family, its juice has a high potency equivalent to wheatgrass juice, only with less chlorophyll and more sugar content.  However, counter to what you might think, sugarcane juice contains only about fifteen percent total sugar content, all of which is in a raw unrefined form.  The rest of the juice consists of water brimming with an abundance of vitamins and minerals. Sugarcane is rich in calcium, chromium, cobalt, copper, magnesium, manganese, phosphorous, potassium and zinc.  It also contains iron and vitamins A, C, B1, B2, B3, B5, and B6, plus a high concentration of phytonutrients (including chlorophyll), antioxidants, proteins, soluble fiber and numerous other health supportive compounds.  Working synergistically, these nutrients provide a supremely health-promoting food which has been studied for its role in fighting cancer, stabilizing blood sugar levels in diabetics, assisting in weight loss, reducing fevers, clearing the kidneys, preventing tooth decay, and a host of other health benefits.

Sugarcane juice is consumed worldwide, and due to its known health benefits, it is a traditional food with a profound presence in the local cultures where it is grown (Brazil and India are the top two producers, though it is grown in over 100 countries). Sucking or chewing on an exposed end of the raw sugarcane is one way to consume the juice, although the juice can also be extracted in larger quantities for drinking, by feeding the large stalks through a slow moving roller pressing machine, similar to an old fashioned wringer washing machine. The locals drink it with a pinch of sea salt and lemon juice, for a natural high-energy drink whose value goes far beyond its sweet taste.

I plan to detox from my summer eating habits for 7 days, in honor of welcoming the Autumn solstice on September 22nd at 7pm. As many of you already know, I participated in numerous festivals as a vendor this summer, dragging heavy suitcases of products, setting up a tent and table, then breaking down and packing up after long days of standing and sharing my brand...knowledge of natural hair, holistic health and wellness; along with my Ancient Blends natural hair and body care products with tons of awesome people. So, before heading into fall, my frazzled brain and body need time to cleanse and decompress.

Yesterday, as I mentally prepared for this journey, I decided to stay inside to rest. I drank more tea, water and fruits also. I found myself thinking a lot about the transition into autumn. I envisioned that seasonal chore of switching out my summer clothes and revisiting some old favorite, warm clothing...although, I'm not in a hurry to go thru the winter storage. Last week, I did go through my jewelry box, selected and sold some lovely pieces I hadn't worn in some time. I'm looking forward to releasing some clothing as well as toxins. 

The harvest season is the time to begin to decrease your intake of cooling summer foods and start to increase more cooked and warming foods into your eating plan in preparation for winter. It’s also the season to reduce your fruit intake from three portions to two, because fruits are especially cooling to the body. We need more warmth going into the cooler months.

 My Autumn Detox Plan:  Day-1 (repeat or modify throughout this detox journey)

Here Are A Few Essential Health Necessities: 

Daily drink 2 tablespoons Braggs organic apple cider vinegar upon rising in the morning and lastly before bed (alkalizing) 

2 tablespoon of Flaxseed oil and 2 tablespoon of sesame oil daily

1 ounce of chlorophyll in 8 ounces of water daily.

2ml of liquid B-12 vitamins daily (nervous system support)

Lean protein—at least 8 ounces daily of fish, tofu, and tempeh

Vegetables—Unlimited raw or steamed vegetables with added cayenne pepper (heat) for improving circulating.

Fruits - 2 whole portions daily. Choose from apples, plums, tangerines, cranberries, pears, persimmons, pomegranate, oranges (no bananas, they're mucous forming)  

Alkaline water—1 gallon a day (or the golden rule of: drink half your body's weight in ounces)

Between meals—2 cups of fenugreek tea daily. Fenugreek is a plant. The seeds are used to make medicine. Fenugreek is used for many conditions, but so far, there isn't enough scientific evidence to determine whether or not it is effective for any of them. Fenugreek is used for digestive problems such as loss of appetite, upset stomach,constipation, and inflammation of the stomach (gastritis). It is also used for conditions that affect heart health such as “hardening of the arteries” (atherosclerosis) and for high blood levels of certain fats including cholesterol and triglycerides. Fenugreek is used for kidney ailments, a vitamin deficiency disease called beriberi, mouth ulcers, boils, bronchitis, infection of the tissues beneath the surface of the skin (cellulitis), tuberculosis, chronic coughs, chapped lips, baldness, cancer, and lowering blood sugar in people with diabetes. 

During a detox, you eliminate or reduce foods that may be wreaking havoc on your system.

During a cleanse, you dive deeper into cleansing a specific organ, such as your liver or kidneys.

A detox introduces foods that make you feel more alive and recharged in a safe and effective way.

During this 7 Day Autumnal Detox, you will learn how to nourish your body, reduce unwanted toxicity in a non-stressful approach to the elimination diet. This 7 Day Autumnal Detox is not about starving, fasting, juicing, only drinking soups or smoothies, or buying lots of supplements. This 7 Day Autumnal Detox is about learning how to eat right for your unique body.



Here's Another Sample Autumn Detox Plan Menu you may pattern your day after...

Upon arising—two 8-ounce glasses of water with juice of 1 lemon

Before breakfast—1 cup fenugreek tea

Breakfast—1 stewed apple with cinnamon and nutmeg; Autumn Scrambler (made with tofu, mushrooms, and onions with 1/2 tablespoon sesame seed oil)

Mid-morning—two 8-ounce glasses of water

Lunch—veggie burger; warm cabbage salad with grated carrots, celery, parsley, and dressing of 1/2 tablespoon sesame oil, 1 tablespoon apple cider vinegar and 1/2 teaspoon anise seed, 3 tablespoons sauerkraut

Mid-afternoon—two 8-ounce glasses of water

Before dinner—1 pear or apple

Dinner—Broiled or baked fish with a dash of cinnamon and cayenne; braised greens and sliced garlic and purple onions with 1 tablespoon apple cider vinegar and 1 tablespoon flaxseed oil; Leafy Veggie salad (with steamed wild mushrooms, radishes, and snow peas); 1 cup of fenugreek tea

Mid-evening—two 8-ounce glasses of water

Colon HydroTherapy (colonics)

SUPER IMPORTANT:
In the fall, you may also want to consider a series of 3-4 colon hydrotherapy treatments to assist in cleansing the bowel. Colon hydro-therapists believe that regular colon cleansing helps relieve fatigue, gas, headaches, irritability, and a number of stubborn skin problems. Colonic enthusiasts report a marked sense of well-being, more energy, less brain fog, and more tranquility. Dark circles and bags under the eyes disappear. Colon hydrotherapy can help to establish the pattern of regular bowel movements on a daily basis. Once the system has been cleansed with colon hydrotherapy, the colon can again function as it was meant to, eliminating unwanted wastes from the body.

To support the lungs and large intestine, Hart recommends limiting sugar, flour, dairy and alcohol for a healthy, mucous free stomach. And for opening the nasal passages, drinking fenugreek tea. I love that warming spices like cinnamon, nutmeg and cloves—the ones we use anyways in our fall baking recipes—actually support both intestinal and respiratory health, so it’s just perfect that they are good for both our health and the flavor of our foods during this season.

This green pear smoothie is a perfect way to start your day—with energy, vitamins, and lots of fibre to make you feel full all morning.

Ingredients:

4 cups spinach, loosely packed
1 tablespoon hemp seed (optional)
1 cup water
1-2 cups ice
2 ripe pears, cut into chunks
  In a high-powered blender, blend together spinach, hemp seed (if using), and water until smooth.

  Add pears and blend until smooth. Add ice and blend until frothy. Use more ice if you prefer a slushie-like smoothie, less if you prefer a thick juice-like one.

There are many health benefits of lemons that have been known for centuries. Additionally, you can rinse your mouth with purified water after you finish your lemon water.
