As a natural hair care professional for about three decades, I was in my element...I had a opportunity to share some my insights on the holistic care of natural hair with the audience; like the emotional and stress ties to hair loss, the awareness about relaxers being added to deep conditioning treatments in some salons to loosen up women's natural coils and also a it about my Ancient Blends products. Afterwards there were lots of picture taking and networking with the awesome folks who came out on that extremely cold evening.
it's always good to see my longtime friend and client Michael July, the man behind AFROS the book. I have so much admiration, respect, friendship and love. for his contribution to our culture today. I was also really excited to meet and chat with those two amazingly sweet and beautiful fashionistas of Urban Bush Babies, Cipriana and TK Quann. I'm planning to head back up to the museum next week for an upcoming event.
There are two more programs happening in the natural hair series one on hair salon as community center and the other on gender and hair.
