Me-Ratus is a term for vaginal fumigation in Java, Indonesian. Ratus, an ancient ritual was customarily used long ago by the ladies of royal families and it is still continue today in high class spas and salons. This ritual is a practice of herbally and aromatically fumigating the yoni (private parts of a woman) before the wedding night. It was also use as therapy for womens private parts. Traditionally, meratus ritual uses a type burner like the mubakhar in Arabia. But it is slightly different. Usually this burner was made from clay. The effect of meratus are said to restore the flexibility of yoni (vagina), kill germs~disease that may harm the private parts, it also gets rid of unpleasant odor. Ratus can also be slow burnt in a clay pot. Its smoke is the key part of meratus. women should wear sarong or kain (long cloth, usually batik) to immobilized the ratus smoke. Women stand with stretch legs apart, put burning ratus under their sarong. It's for the purpose of fumigating the yoni. Usually meratus needs only 30 minutes to 2 hours until it's done. This practice encourages women's vaginas to be more hygienic, smell good, pleasant, flexible and restore her spiritual connection.
Any ladies wanna try this? Meratus can be done using Oud, Frankincense or any other sacred herbs (specifically for burning), but the most common thing used is frankincense. For greater effect, use oud.
